IKEA LAUNCHES MINIMAL SCANDINAVIAN DESIGN SPEAKERS

I love IKEA and the philosophy of founder Ingvar Kamprad to create simple, affordable furniture and items. Kamprad’s idea behind IKEA was, and is today, that anyone should be able to afford stylish, modern design. That is why I love the new range of minimal speakers just launched called Eneby.

This is IKEA’s first range of Bluetooth speakers, a collection available in two sizes and two colours, black & grey/white. They are designed to either be wall-mounted, used on a stand or simply placed on a flat surface, to make sure they fit in any space. The size is also the perfect fit for IKEA’s Kallax or Eket storage systems which is great.

With its fabric-covered fronts and a circular button detail on the front that lights up when in use, these speakers have a modern look that will look great in any home. If you prefer a different style, you can remove the mesh fabric from the front and let parts of the speaker remain exposed.

The smaller speaker has a handle that allows it to be carried around with you. There is also a battery pack available which enables it to be used while on the go. If the speakers are not in use, they will switch off by themselves – clever.

What do you think of these speakers? I am eager to get to the store to test out the sound quality.

I really like them. They look great. And I love that they are the perfect size to fit in the Kallax shelves. Off to find out the price now.

I went to Ikea last weekend to have a look and ended up purchasing the smaller one. It was €50 and the larger one €80. I can confirm that the sound quality is great too!
