Last month I started this new column here on the blog, sharing my monthly favorites with you. If you follow me over on Instagram you might have already seen these images popping up in my feed, and if not – make sure you head over and follow along! This month has been about staying in, getting cozy and taking care of myself; bit of baking, self-care and DIY.

scandinavian feeling cinnamonbuns

Cinnamon buns! To be fair, they are always my favorites but this time I managed to perfect the recipe and swirl so I am very proud. They look beautiful displayed on my favorite serving dish from Royal Copenhagen with the famous hand-painted Blue Fluted Mega pattern. I am thinking about starting to share some recipes here on the blog and in that case, these will be first in line. Let me know if this is something you would like to see.

scandinavian feeling selfcare socks

And speaking of treating yourself, I have been loving evenings in practicing enjoying some self-care & hygge. I have been snacking on these delicious little licorice bears and loved these almond skincare foot mask socks by Sephora. The festive pattern is so cute and makes them the perfect little festive treat. (I couldn’t find the socks online, but here are the hand masks in the same collection. You might find them in your local store.)

scandinavian feeling scandia book

I love the Scandia colouring book, a lovely item for anyone that would like to unwind and relax, and a great way to get off the screen and focus on being present. It is packed full of Scandinavian inspired illustrations, all designed by textiles and homeware designer Zeena Shah.

scandinavian feeling diy ikea shelf

This month I have been getting more into DIY’s, I think it might be the cold weather and staying in more that is making my fingers itch. You will find a few DIY related posts coming to the blog soon, but for now here is a little current favourite. We have a little corner of our bedroom with a very awkward and slanted ceiling and limited space, so I decided to create a custom shelf by using the Knagglig crates by Ikea. They come in two different sizes and makes for the perfect temporary solution.

scandinavian feeling skandidesign marble jar

This gorgeous marble jar with a copper lid by Skandidesign is my new bathroom essential. It’s perfect for storing all your makeup brushes in, but can also be used on your desk with pens, paper clips and scissors in.

scandinavian feeling dog teddybear

And last but not least, my puppys favourite toy this month – the adorable teddybear from Flying Tiger. It has been by his side non-stop, and always comes to bed with him. If you want to see more of my puppy Bowie, he has his own Instagram account so go give him a follow! Find him here.

What have you been loving this month?
