With lots of natural light, neutral tones and natural wood accents throughout, this charming Scandinavian home perfectly balances calm and cozy. Just looking at the images of this lovely attic apartment makes me feel tranquil, and I can imagine it being a great setting for hygge moments.
The elegant light beige kitchen has a luxurious stone worktop which compliments the white space beautifully. Designed to fit under the slanted ceiling, the kitchen blends into the open space while not taking too much attention away from the calmness. The tall, open shelf near the windows is a lovely detail and a great way to display treasured ceramics and decor.

As an open and social layout; the kitchen, dining area and living space are all in one open room, yet this small apartment still feels spacious because of the large windows and light colours. This home shows us that it’s not about how much space you have, but how you decorate it and use it.

Best of all – it has a cozy little, sun-drenched south-facing roof terrace that becomes a fantastic extension of the home during the summer months. Next to it, you can spot a great desk area which benefits from all that natural light flowing in both from the window above and next to it.

Making our way from the living area into the bedroom, we discover a simple and cozy room. With minimal pieces of furniture and the same neutral look as the rest of the home, it is a peaceful space perfect for sleep don’t you think? The large built-in wardrobe adds lots of storage to this otherwise simplistic room.

Lastly, the bathroom conveys the same colours and feel as the kitchen with its beautiful beige limestone tiles and softness. A handy detail in a small space like this is the little countertop shelf above the laundry machine adding an extra surface for storage or folding laundry on.

What do you think of this calm and cozy home?
