Time for a bit of Scandinavian interior inspiration; let’s visit this colourful and calm family home in Sweden to discover how they have managed to create a space that is homely and characteristic while also tranquil.
I have s soft spot for a colourful kitchen, so as soon as I saw this green one I fell in love. You might think that green is not a great colour for a kitchen, but I think this home proves that it certainly can be. The fresh, light mint green tone along with the wooden furniture, the gold details and those white tiles on the wall works in perfect harmony and makes it look stylish and modern but at the same time classic.
This Swedish home is a lovely space for a family, and the kids room is also painted in a darker green shade which complements the living area and kitchen perfectly. I love the cozy little bed in there with the canopy hanging above it, as well as those adorable small furnitures and the large soft rug perfect for playtime. The brown and cream tones in here creates a serene feeling, and along with the green it brings nature in mind.
The master bedroom is also cozy and relaxing. This room has been painted in a darker blue tone which goes so well together with the white, cream tones and light wood on the floor and furnitures. A clever feature is the large built in wardrobe painted in the same blue colour as the wall to help it blend in with the space. The gold handles adds a little nod to the kitchen and ties it all together.
And as you can see above, the whole building is also green which is very fitting with the interior.
