TOP FOUR SPRING INTERIOR TRENDS 2016

spring_trends_scandinavian_design_2016

Swedish Residence magazine created this shoot to show us this spring’s top four trends. The styling is by Eva Lotta Sundling and Elin Kickén.

1 // LOCAL MANUFACTURING & FOCUS ON THE ENVIRONMENT
Our interest in locally made products with a focus on sustainability and environmental awareness is increasing. We want to know everything about what we have in our home; where things come from, how and under what circumstances they have been made. We therefore choose to furnish with items produced under good conditions, with long-lasting qualities and with as little impact on the environment as possible.

2 // TEXTURE & COLOUR
This spring its all about warm colours, different shades of beige and rusty tones mixed with simple colours like black and white. We experiment more with textures and materials such as velvet, leather, metal and chrome to create a feeling of depth.

3 // ELEGANT
We are seeing more and more influences of art deco in the accessories and furniture, and a grown-up elegance takes place in the interiors.

4 // UNIQUE & PERSONAL
We’re looking for a personal and unique touch to stand out from other and be different. There is a growing interest in ceramics, unique pieces and handmade crafts. By mixing different styles and eras there is more room for individuality.
