Hello there! This months post is a little late, I went on a holiday with my family to New York and had to spend a few days to fight the jet-lag but now it is finally fading. If you want to have a look at some of the things I got up to in the big apple, check out the stories highlight on my Instagram profile. I will also do a blog post from the trip, so stay tuned for that.

Through March there were so many beautiful images posted in the #thatscandinavianfeeling feed, it is getting more and more difficult to pick only four each month. A current theme has been creating a calm setting to enjoy quality time with or without others. Easter decorations made their appearance, a sweet period that I personally love (probably because of all the treats). I also see a few more addition of colour as we are approaching spring, which is making me excited for warmer weather. I can imagine most of us are by now.

I love seeing how you get a Scandinavian feeling no matter where in the world you are, and the fact that so many have left their heart in Scandinavia which links us all together in a way. Mine is left back home in Norway with my family and friends, although a part of it is also with me here in Italy. I like to surround myself with items that remind me of home by creating a calm and cozy space that gives me that Scandiavian feeling so I feel less homesick. I am curious to know: where is your heart?

Every month I feature moments shared in the feed by you, and below you can find this month’s selection. These monthly little catch-ups are a great way to get to know each other, make sure you click through to see more of their beautiful Instagram feeds.

“That Scandinavian feeling to me is a sense of happiness, being calm and appreciating the little things in life. It doesn’t matter where I am in Scandinavia, I feel like I belong. This is important to me because I’ve never felt like I belong anywhere else in the world. The reason behind the photo ‘I left my heart in Sweden’ is because recently I fell in love with a Swede and although I’m currently living in London, my heart is with him.”

“That Scandinavian feeling to me is the feel of a room. A feel you created by choosing certain materials and texture and by having respect for the air surrounding it.”

“For me, that Scandinavian feeling is a moment of calmness and simplicity – the chance to slow down and enjoy the little things, whether that’s a wonderful coffee with friends, or bringing the first spring blooms into the home and taking note of the changing seasons.”

4 // @foospace
“A feeling of calm and harmony with nature, and a sense of mindfulness and appreciation of the simple things around us.”

If you haven’t already, I hope you join in and share your moments too! I would love to see what that Scandinavian feeling means to you and how you are creating a cozy environment at home. How do you find a Scandinavian feeling wherever you are?
