HIFI HYGGE: GET COZY WITH YOUR AUDIO (PODCAST)

How can music help us find hygge in our home? I was recently asked to be a guest on the Audio Matters podcast with a very interesting topic: Hifi-Hygge. For me, music and sound play a big part in creating a cozy environment in my home. Putting on my favourite calm and relaxing songs instantly helps set the tone, something I touch upon in my post How To Create a Hygge Home. The power of music can also evoke pleasant memories and take us back to happy times, which is especially important these days when many of us are staying home lot more than usual without being able to meet loved ones.

Get cozy with your audio

This week’s episode explores the audio dimension of Hygge, the Scandinavian notion of coziness, conviviality, and simple joys. Snuggle up to your loudspeakers as guests Chris Dragon, Senior Director of Marketing for Lifestyle at HARMAN, Jim Garrett, Senior Director of Product Strategy and Planning for the Luxury Audio Business Unit at HARMAN, and Ingrid Opstad, freelance journalist, graphic designer, and founder of the very popular interior, design, and lifestyle blog That Scandinavian Feeling discuss the fine art of HiFi-Hygge.

In the wake of lockdown, how have our listening habits changed, and how can music help to heal the painful sense of solitude that social distancing has caused? How can you boost your home’s cozy quotient with HiFi-Hygge? How have HiFi systems and loudspeaker designs evolved? Find out all this and much more in this week’s episode.

So grab a coffee, get comfy and have a listen:
