Is there anything better than indulging in a delicious ice cream on a hot summer day?
In this new series I share simple ways you can find hygge in your daily life. Last time I posted about Dalgona coffee – a nice treat for coffee lovers, and today I’m sharing a super simple homemade no churn ice cream recipe with only 4 ingredients. No ice cream machine needed!
Simple homemade ice cream
300 ml whipping cream
125 g condensed milk
4 tbsp Baileys liquor
1 tsp of cinnamon (optional)
How to do it:
- Whisk cream until stiff peaks form.
- Carefully fold in the condensed milk.
- Add in the Baileys and cinnamon, stir together softly.
- Transfer it into a lidded container.
- Freeze for about 4-6 hours.
- Take out to soften up bit before serving.
- Enjoy! No ice cream machine needed!
You might wonder why we are adding Baileys. This is mainly because it doesn’t freeze so it helps keep the ice cream soft without using an ice cream machine. It also adds a nice hint of Baileys flavour. If you want a stronger taste and even softer ice cream, just add more Bayleys.
This is such a simple recipe, and a great base to get creative with whatever flavours and toppings you like. If you do not want to add cinnamon, get creative with other options such as vanilla, caramel, chocolate or keep it plain.
