Summertime and the living is easy… So easy that I am a bit behind on this months post! The reason, however, is because I have been away on a holiday so I do not feel too guilty. It is important to switch off sometimes which is exactly what I did, except for a few Instagram posts here and there.

Living in Italy I find that there is so much to see and discover here, so this summer I decided to do just that. Traveling around by train is so convenient, one day you can be hiking in the mountains and the other you can explore charming towns by the sea. The highlight of the trip must be hiking in the Italian Alps with amazing views overlooking the Dolomites. The idyllic scenery and cool temperature there really gave me that Scandinavian feeling. After a refreshing weekend in the mountains, we took the train to Genova to eat good food and finally experience Cinque Terre.

For me, summer is about taking it easy, slowing down and enjoying the moments. It is a time to simplify your life, but also to experience new adventures. Have you found #thatscandinavianfeeling this holiday? If so, do share it on Instagram with the hashtag so we can all inspire each other.

Every month I feature four moments shared in the feed by you, and below you can find this month’s selection. These monthly little catch-ups are a great way to get to know each other and to discover new accounts, so make sure you click through to see more of their beautiful feeds and give them a follow. This month is especially exciting as I get to announce the winner of my summer competition in collaboration with Kolla. Throughout the whole month of June all the images shared with the hashtag was entered, and I am delighted to say that the winning photo by @lepetitfika will be sold on the Kolla webshop for a limited time. 100% of the sales will be donated to a charity of her choice, and I will be back with more information soon once it is live!

“For me, that Scandinavian feeling is exactly as the name indicates – it’s a feeling, and one that can’t be compared with anything else. It’s a simplicity found nowhere else, a cosiness unattainable any other way and a feeling of calm that has to be experienced.”

“Defining that Scandinavian feeling requires words that are not yet invented. The clue is in the name, it’s a very special feeling. And when it occurs there will be no doubt about it. I live with the Nordic vibe every day, but being outside in nature is when I feel it the most. It gives me that sense of belonging in a time and space that can only be lived in the now. A calm and serene feeling of pure existence. And you will find that the green colours of Scandinavia are among the prettiest in the world.”

“The Scandinavian feeling is about the magic of simplicity. A sense of purity, nature and sustainable. A simple lifestyle that creates memories and dreams. Life right now in the simply way.”

“I love that Scandinavian feeling at home, the feeling of cosiness is as important to me in the summer as it is in winter and I achieve it with crisp white bedding, warm lighting and continuing the white and grey theme throughout, and not forgetting those little pretty things that just finish a home like a beautiful lamp.”

I hope you do join in and share your moments too by adding the hashtag. How do you find a Scandinavian feeling wherever you are? How are you enjoying the little things in life?
